About Me
I've loved model railways since when a child I was given a hornby clockwork layout. ( I think Dad thought he was going to get a chance to play with it! ) So I am delighted to realise a dream of being able to play with electric locos. Like the man who was run over by a train I am chuffed to bits.

About Me
I run h.o. here in the San Diego, California, at one of the layouts at the San Diego Model Railroad Museum. It is the San Diego and Arizona Eastern layout, modeling the 1950's era. Both dc and dcc is used. The highlight of the layout is a model of the Goat Canyon Trestle located in the Carrizo Gorge. The real Goat Canyon Trestle in the Carrizo Gorge, is a National Engineering Landmark. I am also a overseas member of the Bluebell Railway Preservation Society, in East Sussix, and a member of the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum in Campo, 60 miles east of San Diego. I share the website for the San Diego Model Railroad Museum: WWW.sandiegomodelrailroadmuseum.org.U.S. or WWW.sandiegomodelrailroadmuseum.com.u.s.

About Me
Have arrived into the hobby fairly late in life.Found that it combines my creative and practical instincts.I need to work with my hands as an antidote to deskwork (I'm an accountant) .
I enjoy virtually all aspects of the hobby from detailed modelling to landscaping..Have a lot to learn but am currently modelling two layouts:"PARKMORE" which is a 6ft x 2ft 009 layout, of the highest station in N.Ireland at the passenger termination of the Ballymena to Cushendall narrow gauge line, circa 1900.Locos are Manx Beyer Peacocks et al.The line closed in 1930 but retains much of its original trackbed and infrastructure, and which I have walked when visiting my wifes family in the Glens of Antrim.
The other is a 14ftx14ft DCC fictional GWR meets SR heart shaped loft layout,"WOOLMINSTER" with a terminus and four lines plus street scene including trams, which I love.Have successfully modelled Townstreets' rural station and s/box which is ready for installation.(I'm nervous about plaster and wouldn't use it for exhibition /portable projects).Otherwise its kit bashed Metcalfe and Superquick. Photos to follow. |

About Me
Well, what can I say. I am the local yeti, I like heavy metal and rock music. I grew up next to North Road Station in Plymouth and my interest into model railways grew from then on. I have a 9x9 layout in the living room of my flat that I bought as a second hand deal and had a great deal of help from Graham in transporting it (A big thanks to him) and it is nothing more than a place where I can run a few of my locos. I also use a computor simulation program called TRAINZ in which i can create endless layouts, I have created a layout of Yeovil East as a Demo for the club.

About Me
Been interested for many years, I now have the space 16' x 6' so am building an N gauge model of parts of the West Somerset Railway. Having built the baseboards, the first circuit of track has been laid and tested, and the plans drawn for the control panels. Track has now been laid for Bishops Lydeard Station and this has been joined to the continuous loop, also the line to Crowcombe has been started including incline. Point motors have been positioned and thanks to plenty of practice wiring the club layout I now feel confident these will be wired and working shortly. Point motors and accessory switches positioned and wired ALL WORKING CORRECTLY ! My teachers must have been good (Thanks Steve and Graham) Early November 2009 and an additional link to the continuous run has been added so that trains can now depart/enter Minehead as well as Lydeard, an added bonus is that trains can now run out of Lydeard around the continuous loop and into Minehead |
